The new tenant space project for Clifford Chance US LLP, called for a renovation to their interior reception areas, conference rooms, and administrative areas on the 9th and 10th floors.
The development of the initial design and budget was a two year collaboration between the client, the design team, and the build team to implement a design that would deliver within scope and achieve LEED Silver certification. Careful planning and close attention to the firm’s occupancy and space planning requirements yielded a highend, sophisticated design that met the needs and expectations of a prestigious DC law firm.
rand* went to great lengths to provide a stable, comfortable work environment as the firm wanted to remain fully functional during the slated 24- week construction schedule. An IAQ plan was developed and MERV 8 filters were installed at all air handlers as well as any areas of open wall between the renovation space and occupants to keep the noise level and disturbance to a minimum.
The logistics had to be concise as the detailed package of finishes carried significant lead times. Many had to be procured and constructed in proper sequence in order to maintain the quality of the installations.
