The QinetiQ build-out incorporated technological and security features tightly integrated with office space in this 80,000 square foot project. Multiple trades and vendors for a significant technological backbone had to be coordinated with high-end finishes to complete this signature space.

rand* determined at the outset that a large server room supporting other QinetiQ facilities in the area was critical to success. This portion of the work incorporated multiple HVAC units with associated rooftop equipment, a new emergency generator, a UPS system, a detailed electrical infrastructure for the new IT racks. The specialized nature of this equipment made it a long lead item, so late installation within a compressed schedule had to be performed quickly and in complete coordination with other trades and finishes.

The private offices, conference rooms, SCIF spaces, support pantry and elevator lobbies are finished in high-end millwork and include an operable partition, glass storefront, motorized shades, fabric panels and other associated finishes from multiple vendors and installers, all requiring close coordination and attention to detail.
