Halliburton is a multinational corporation who contracted rand to provide construction services for an office refresh at their Denver location. The project spanned three floors of their corporate space; floors 12, 19, and 20. The project called for an update to the existing finishes and minor infrastructure modifications including new carpet and paint throughout, new millwork tops, a new feature wall in reception cladded in stone with integrated branding, new glass suite entrance doors with access control, new doors, wall removal, interior glazing, and new furniture.
The project had an aggressive schedule of nine weeks and a requirement for an occupied in-place construction approach with the need to ensure continuity of business functions throughout construction, including the need for personnel to not be relocated. Therefore, all work was performed off-hours with the bulk of the workscope being performed on night-shifts. Constant communication with the client and design team was paramount to the project success. A phasing plan was developed that clearly defined the scope of work scheduled to be completed each night to ensure client expectations were met throughout the project.
