rand* was hired to provide preconstruction and construction services for the multinational corporation providing technological services and components for the media, entertainment, and communication markets. The Technicolor’s new Georgia office required a new office space to house their many unique programmatic needs including 24-hour usage of the space, extensive security requirements and sound attenuation/privacy controls vital for the operational needs of the office environment. The new space is an interior renovation combining three office suites into one with the complex design containing numerous high-end finishes including: nineteen paint colors, fourteen colors of carpet with precise layout and alignments, static dissipative tiles, wood slat ceiling systems, custom millwork, and completely custom light fixtures.
The project scope includes open and private offices, recreation area with showers and lockers, breakrooms, adaptable conference rooms serviced by operable partitions, and a large data center. The most critical scope was the relocation of the client’s 11 laboratory testing chambers, which had to be disassembled at original office space and reassembled at their new location.
