HoneyPot

rand* construction successfully completed a 16 week full interior buildout for HoneyPot, located on the 7th floor of their building. The project featured a range of complex construction elements that required a high level of coordination, craftsmanship, and adaptability. A key architectural highlight was the installation of curved glass demountable partitions integrated seamlessly into a custom drywall soffit, for precise detailing. The team also executed a floating soffit as a central design feature, requiring advanced framing techniques to maintain both aesthetic appeal and structural integrity.

One of the most technical aspects of the project was the design and installation of a stove exhaust vent that connected to the building’s exterior, without the use of scaffolding due to site constraints. This was achieved through specialized coordination and the use of a swing stage suspended from the roof, requiring close collaboration with building engineers and subcontractors. In addition, the construction zone shared a stairwell with an operating hotel, necessitating constant communication and noise management strategies to minimize disruption to hotel guests.

The scope of work included drywall, painting, acoustic ceiling tile installation, millwork, flooring, wall tile, interior glazing, acoustic panels, and appliance installation. rand* construction demonstrated its strengths through clear internal communication, proactive problem-solving, and a highly collaborative approach. These qualities were instrumental in successfully delivering a technically complex project within a sensitive environment. Senior staff and superintendents provided critical support, particularly during the final stages of coordination with the architect and vendors. Despite logistical challenges, the team delivered a high-quality, functional space on time, meeting both client expectations and the timeline for the opening reception
