The Pax8 project, designed by Acquilano spanned two floors and featured a highly customized workplace environment with a unique layout with immersive design elements. The scope included high-end millwork and metals, feature lighting, studio and podcast rooms, an immersion-style theater space, library, lounges, open-to-structure deck offices, and an interconnected stairwell tying the floors together. The project’s elevated design intent and experiential spaces required close coordination across trades to ensure that architectural vision, constructability, and sequencing were aligned throughout construction.
A key challenge of the project was working with an international client and accommodating a significant volume of design changes that continued throughout the duration of construction. rand* collaborated closely with Acquilano and the client to provide ongoing constructability input, allowing the team to thoughtfully integrate evolving design decisions without compromising quality or schedule. This collaborative approach supported the successful execution of the project’s exciting finishes, feature spaces, and complex stair installation, resulting in a dynamic and engaging workplace that reflects both the client’s brand and the innovative nature of the design.
