rand* construction Makes Two Key Hires to Start 2023

rand* construction corporation announces two high-profile hires to kick off the New Year.  Nazanin Razavi Hesselton will be joining rand* as the Senior Director of Human Resources and Eoin Somerville joins as a Project Executive. 

Razavi Hesselton will be responsible for overseeing the administration of all HR programs, including recruitment, benefits and compensation, performance and talent management, productivity, and training and development.  She has an extensive background in HR and comes to rand* after over six years with HITT as its Vice President, Human Resources where she led a team of over 20 HR professionals and was tasked with overseeing employee training, recruitment, and retention for over 1,500 employees.  Prior to joining HITT, Razavi Hesselton handled recruiting for General Dynamics for almost seven years.   

Razavi Hesselton also has many affiliations, awards, and certifications.  She is on the Board of Directors and Governance Chair for Shelter House, an organization that provides crisis intervention, safe housing, and supportive services to homeless families and victims of domestic violence in Fairfax and Loudon County.  She was awarded Construction Dive’s 2022 Construction Champions: Mentors; is a member of Evanta, Washington, DC CHRO Community; holds a Strategic HR Business Partner certification from Human Capital Institute; and is a Certified Internet Recruiter and Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter from AIRS. 

Somerville will be responsible for managing multiple teams and external relationships for numerous projects, building new client relationships, and training and developing project teams.  He joins rand* from a 10-year career at Clune Construction Company, most recently as a Vice President | Team Lead.  At Clune, he recruited and developed a diverse team of seven people responsible for a large portion of the DC region’s profitability.  He successfully completed over 45 projects in 2022 alone and was an integral member of the leadership team. 

rand* plans to make several more strategic hires throughout the year, expanding its team and services, to continue to provide the highest level of customer service to its clients.
