Airbus, engaged rand* for preconstruction and construction services for the comprehensive renovation of their corporate headquarters in Herndon, Virginia, following our successful completion of smaller-scale work at their downtown DC location. Airbus is known for manufacturing airplanes and spy satellites for the U.S. government, required a thoughtful design to enhance their workspace. The project involved repositioning three floors, including demolition and new construction.

The preconstruction phase was extensive, with multiple rounds of budgeting and significant pricing input that helped shape design decisions and guided the construction process.

Notable updates included the addition of café/lounge facilities, a designated IT work area, a refreshed reception area, upgraded elevator lobby finishes, and the integration of branding throughout the space.
