The Allsteel Design Lab project was a fast-tracked showroom build-out designed to showcase furniture and demountable wall systems in a highly functional, visually refined environment. Spanning two floors, the project included the creation of kitchen and breakroom areas, conference rooms, and executive offices, all mixed into a cohesive vendor showroom experience. A major focal point of the design was a custom stone island paired with a specialty glass fiber ceiling, helping define key gathering and display spaces while elevating the overall style.
One of the primary challenges of the project was a mid-stream change in the terrazzo specification, shifting from tile to poured terrazzo. The scope of work involved full interior demolition followed by a comprehensive build-out, including significant MEP upgrades and coordinated AV/IT integration to support modern workplace needs. Throughout the space, custom millwork and high-end material selections, including terrazzo flooring were used to reinforce the design intent and create a polished, durable environment.
This required quick redesign, close coordination across trades, and careful schedule management to maintain the accelerated timeline without compromising quality or design integrity.
