This Confidential Client set to renovate their existing DC office space with an interior fit-out spread over three floors with pockets of major renovations. The major scope items were highly custom and unique compared to typical tenant interior buildouts. Multiple large scale slab cuts were required to make way for the new multi-story board room and two-flight stair installation.

This was especially challenging due to the extensive post-tensioned cable rework and substantial structural steel and carbon fiber reinforced paneling installations necessary to support new openings. The double-height boardroom is enveloped in custom millwork, hanging chain artwork ceilings, modular raised floor system, acoustical plaster ceilings, and a full-suite technology package. A high-tech broadcast studio was built with integrated displays, cameras, controls, dedicated power, teleprompters, editing suite, + sound proofing.

Upon entry, the high level of design is readily apparent in the reception lobby walls with a faux limestone and brick feature wall created from Stuc Pierre plaster and hand formed on site. The lighting package features a multitude of differing light systems that form to the function of specific programs within the space requiring the installation of many dedicated lighting controls systems.
One of the most notable aspects of the project is the import of sustainable design and construction practices delivered with the job.
