Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab

rand* was brought on by Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises to bring an existing high-end restaurant concept to the DC marketplace. Prior to commencement, a pre-existing bank in the historically listed National Trust Building had to be reconfigured in order to make space for the new restaurant. rand* was already making these complex structural modifications to the building. The team removed existing bank vaults and installed a raised structural floor in order to align the new main dining room with the main kitchen area.

Housed on the first and second floor of the National Trust building at 15th Street and H Street, Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab encompasses 20,000 sf of formal dining space, a banquet hall, a main kitchen, a main bar with dining space, multiple private dining/board rooms and an overlook of the formal dining room. A key design feature is the monumental stair that was built to connect the main bar and the private dining areas on the second floor. The scope of work also included exterior façade work and the construction of an outdoor patio dining area. The historic elements of the National Trust building were maintained and enhanced to embellish the ambiance of the space. Elegant finishes such as high-end stone and millwork and custom chandeliers make this project a truly unique masterpiece.
