PN Hoffman

rand* was contracted to provide preconstruction and construction services for PN Hoffman’s new 22,000-sf headquarters in the heart of their 3 million square-foot Wharf redevelopment project. rand* participated in dedicated preconstruction meetings during the design development phase to develop budgets and help finalize material selection to create a pre-release package for critical long-lead items. This was especially important due to the highly custom and contemporary design requiring extensive coordination between trades to deliver the project. This is most notable in the kitchen and assembly areas where the new MEP infrastructure had to be integrated with the base building systems to align with ceiling design, floor layout, millwork and furniture.

Due to The Wharf being a mixed-use tenant development, there was restricted access for material deliveries and personnel access. Furthermore, The Wharf was under heavy construction of other tenant spaces and base buildings, so delivery windows and material staging areas were limited. rand coordinated with neighboring contractors and developers to create a master delivery schedule to clearly define access routes and timeframes for contractor access and material deliveries. This pivotal for the success the project and allowing the development of the District Wharf to meet the vision of PN Hoffman.
