When Software AG elected to refresh their existing office space, which had not been updated in 20 years, they brought rand* construction on as a partner during the design process. The project delivery was an occupied phased-in-place approach with the client requiring full operational capabilities throughout construction. rand* worked closely with the client and architect, Gensler, to steer the design to fit within budget, develop a phasing plan that accommodate the client’s operational needs and perform due diligence to uncover existing conditions prior to starting construction.
The project was built in three separate phases over twenty weeks and included new demountable MAARS partitions, stone flooring, custom millwork and custom lighting. The new project included renovations and refits of the existing space to accommodate new conference spaces, offices, open workstations, training room, and breakroom. A rest of the space received a refresh with new finishes including the reception area and elevator lobby. The final product dramatically improved the work environment and was executed without impacting any of the client’s business operations.
