rand* construction was contracted to provide a turnkey construction services for two ground-up base buildings and complete interior buildout for a new Vista Brewing requiring extensive sitework located in Driftwood, Texas. The project was positioned on a green-field with a need for rand* to perform all raw land grading, excavation, and concrete pours for the respective footings and flatwork to start erection of the pre-engineered metal buildings. New infrastructure had to be integrated as well including a commercial septic system, underground utilities, and installation of paved roadways to facilitate the structures.

The structures are a composition of steel and wood framing with the building envelopes cladded with wood. The facade houses operable glass storefronts and custom steel canopies. Logistics for the project was critical due to limited access to the site for material and equipment deliveries. The inclusion of the owner vendors early in the project was paramount due to the expansive scope that included audio/visual, structured cabling, signage, kitchen/pantry equipment, furniture, and vats for the brewing equipment that had to be integrated into the plumbing and electrical infrastructure. The vendors were utilized during layout to review and confirm demarcation points and integrate their milestones into the project schedule to establish hard-deadline dates for turnover of clearly defined scopes.
