Allensworth and Porter, a Texas Construction law firm, engaged rand* to assist with the build out of their new office in the Class A space in the Colorado Tower. Featuring a welcoming reception area, executive board room, private and open offices, large break room, a secret room and many other new amenities.
Branding was an important part of Allensworth’s mission for the new space so executing the open ceilings to showcase the brand color in a unique way was critical. Another important element was ensuring the mechanical systems, data cabeling and lighting fixtures were installed as clean as possible to reduce the visual distraction. Other elements of branding were used throughout the space such as the acoustical panels in the conference rooms, the break room millwork and furniture accents.
Partnering with rand* early in the process allowed the preconstruction team to release the long lead items early to avoid delays and allow the sequence of installation to flow as easily as possible. The space features many high end finishes such as hot rolled steel, wood veneer, wood flooring, plaster and sealed concrete floors. The design also paid homage to the legacy of Allensworth by incorporating old law books into a built in niche in reception as well as antique barrister bookcases in the secret room. The design team successfully blended the two seamlessly resulting in a beautiful project.
