rand* construction partnered with AlEn USA, the North American subsidiary of Monterrey-based sustainable cleaning products leader Grupo AlEn, to deliver a transformative office build-out in Houston, Texas. As a first-time client, AlEn USA sought a partner to help realize their evolving vision for a dynamic workplace. Initially scoped as a light renovation, the project expanded into a full second-floor build-out and selective renovations on the first floor, totaling 16,200 square feet.

Following award based on preliminary budgeting, rand* provided extensive preconstruction services, including weekly collaboration calls and over five rounds of budget updates through SD, DD, and CD milestones. Construction was phased to maintain 100% warehouse operations, with a temporary office setup for employees during the build. The project featured the addition of a rooftop RTU, installation of custom moss walls in high-traffic areas, a fully integrated innovation lab and showroom, and the re-cladding of the building’s main stair with sleek glass railings.

rand* maintained high client engagement through weekly walks, mockups for key selections, and ongoing OAC meetings, allowing AlEn’s team to stay closely involved in design and build decisions.
