rand* worked closely with CBRE, Gensler, and Walker & Dunlop to turn over their 1.5 levels of LEED Certified space, connected with a monumental staircase, timeless design details, & materials inspired by the adventurous spirit of Colorado.
Intricate design details feature an operable wall to convert uses of spaces, a nanawall opening up to the patio, a monumental radial staircase connecting the two floors were some of the big design features to connect the different areas. Some of the fine points in the construction process were drywall reveals, specialty veneer wrapped beams, wall covering details, coved metal base, recessed mechanical work, & an emphasized importance on alignments of all trades work.
The success of this project came down to very close coordination between all teams. We bridged this gap with multiple weekly meetings, weekly site updates, weekly walks with the local architect & addressing the architectural site reports every week, facetime calls, & coordinating some tours of local material facilities for teams flying into Denver. With quite a few large design features there was a number of times rand had to work with the building and surrounding building tenants to coordinate material to be hoisted in by crane in order to get material up and installed in time. Ultimately, the project was highly successful & the space was turned over for move in on time.
