rand* provided preconstruction and construction services for this new, high-end, first-generation headquarters space located in Austin, Texas. The brand new space spanned the entirety of the fourth floor as well as 5,000-sf on the first floor to house their Customer Experience Center as well as their all-hands/training area. This project was a unique build-out in the Austin market as the newly constructed base building was of cross-laminated timber construction making a dedicated approach to the scope of work critical for maintaining the integrity of the material. The contemporary work environment is set to be a cultural and physical precedent for all future offices on a global scale.

The primary program for the office space was a training center, closed offices, open office areas, a dynamic pantry and cafe, innovation labs, conference space with a boardroom, huddle rooms, video and editing room, reception area, and collaboration zones. The workspace is visually striking with the material and color palette displayed throughout out as well as the extensive use of custom materials integrated with the exposed finishes. The custom millwork package, lighting, and wood finishes nicely compliment the exposed ceiling system showing off the cross-laminated timber construction members.
