rand*, EDA, WICP Commercial Properties, and PCF Insurance partnered to deliver a brand-new office build-out in the Class B building in Lindon, UT. The building was originally constructed in 2020 and had finishes completed in place. A difficult part of this project was protecting the existing space and finishes, which had been built out and untouched since completion. The project allowed the owner to utilize existing finishes while incorporating PCF Insurance’s design elements.
Previously located in Lehi, PCF Insurance was looking to relocate its HQ space to Lindon for a more central location for executives and team members. The build-out included two existing floors with design elements added via high ceilings, glass storefronts, polished concrete, custom millwork benches, and a garage door. Some of the amenity spaces included a coffee bar, an executive board room build-out, modifications to all four break rooms, and an executive office build-out. Additionally, to manage expectations, the project team was transparent with the owner and design team regarding change requests. It would provide lead times before submission of change orders to better relay the changes’ schedule impact.
PCF Insurance was a very aggressive project, with several changes being made during the project’s duration. It only took one week for our team to mobilize from the submission of the bid and start work as initially scheduled; this was needed as the tenant’s lease was ending in their office locations at the end of July, meaning we would need to get all significant life-safety components in place and receive approval from the city to allow for tenant move-in. rand* worked intimately with all subcontractors and inspectors to ensure the PCF Insurance team could move into their space on time.
