After renovating their 40,000 SF office space in 2017, Wiland partnered with rand* to expand their current building, build exterior amenity spaces and repave their surface parking lot. The scope of work included a new tilt up panel addition to the existing building, adding an additional 5,000 SF for their employee café as well as a new exterior patio seating area. This scope of work required constant communication and coordination between the build teams and occupants of the building so as to maintain the working conditions of Wiland’s employees in the occupied building while performing both the core & shell expansion work and integration of the new finishes. Additionally, the project scope included exterior landscaping as well as resurfacing and expanding their existing parking lot.
Through a strong team collaboration between the owner, owner’s representatives, architects and contractors, the project team was able to successfully complete the project within the originally scheduled 26 week duration.
