After announcing their commitment to bringing hundreds of jobs to their new Colorado office, Conga engage rand to partner with them to develop the budget, schedule, and execute on the construction for their class-A, fun, and open office space. Conga employs top-tier tech talent and accordingly, their new office space includes extensive amenities to attract the best in their industry. The Broomfield location is a new single-story core and shell with 28’ high decks and a slab on grade. The size and length of this building allowed the DLR design team to create unique and sizeable architectural elements, which required thorough coordination amongst the entire team throughout preconstruction.
The commons, located centrally in the building, connects each end of the floorplan via curved drywall entrance portals creating a main employee gathering area, to include a fireplace lounge, gaming area, roll-up doors connecting to an exterior patio, fitness room, yoga studio, and a 10,000 SF fully operational commercial kitchen. Extensive custom ceiling accents, millwork, wall panels, and specialty lighting are featured throughout this amenity-forward space. rand successfully coordinated with multiple external vendors to sequence each stakeholder’s scope of work within the master schedule and take into consideration all of the infrastructure and dimensional needs. The principal challenge of the project included trenching nearly a mile of branch underground infrastructure to support the new kitchen, multiple new restrooms, open office workstations, and conference rooms throughout. A new generator was installed along with the entire tenant electrical room, inclusive of all panels and feeders.
