rand* construction recently completed Delta Dental’s new Colorado headquarters at the 10-story Peakview Terrace building in Centennial, that features stunning views of the Front Range. The buildout consisted of 50,000 SF between two floors and is a beautiful balance of modern, elegant design elements with subtle retro touches throughout the space. The design includes curved soffits and stair structure, white Caesarstone countertops, and organic special walnut wood finishes and wood slat paneling.

The focal point of the project is the reception area – featuring a floating, interconnecting stair, which is bordered on one side by a living plant wall, and adjacent to the large board room on the upper level and the beautiful work café on the lower level. The work café is connected to a large Training Room, that is separated by a large glass operable partition, with the ability to increase the amount of floor space for larger gatherings.

The success of this project is attributed to rand*’s well founded relationship with the Stantec design team, as well as Construction Manager, Fitzmartin Consulting Company. Together the collective construction team worked through weekly detailed Submittal & RFI calls, to ensure all specified finishes met design intent, as well as work through the intricacies of the project such as the complexities of the curved, floating steel elements of the stair structure.

This collaboration with all parties resulted in a construction project that effectively met the creative design intent and vision of the Delta Dental team. Conclusively, the employees and guests entering the space will feel heightened connection to the natural elements with the selective finishes and mountain views, resulting in a positive workplace experience.
