The Cadwalader, project was a full build tenant interior space for the relocation of the prestigious law firm. The project spans the entire 6th floor, as well as the Penthouse and Roof Terrace. The attention to detail of the highly custom design is apparent throughout the tenant space, most notably the expansive lighting package, custom millwork installations, and the terrazzo flooring finish that had to be carefully coordinated throughout all phases of construction due to the extensive integration with other trades.
The project had a limited preconstruction period to develop a phased approach, onboard subcontractors and vendors, and develop a pre-release package to procure all long-lead materials. The project scope included upgraded elevator lobbies, a custom-designed reception area, private offices with demountable walls, and flexible conference rooms using operable partitions. It also features a vibrant pantry with custom pendant lighting, and a jewel-box penthouse with a custom undulating light fixture consisting of over 160 pieces that was pieced together in the field.
