McGinnis Lochridge contracted rand* to provide construction management services for their two-floor, first generation law firm buildout. The project consisted of 40,000 sf of private office, conference rooms, break areas and support spaces. Finishes included many hard ceiling elements, demountable partitions, wood paneling, specialty ceilings and large format tile flooring.
rand* worked simultaneously with the base building contractors as they were trying to get the building inspections and finals. The space includes meeting rooms, multi-purpose training rooms, private offices, a library, break area with adjacent outdoor terrace, private shower/changing rooms, and an interconnecting stair and skylight. As a major design feature, steel had to be craned into the building to construct the impressive stairway. The team also coordinated all of the adjoining finishes including an all glass rail, wood trim and stone treads to bring the stair to reality.
The team benefited from their prior experiences, maintaining strong communication with the client throughout the project. By working as a team and supporting each other, they resolved issues quickly and efficiently.
