The Zaxby’s Headquarters project is a delivery of two spaces in neighboring buildings: one to house the tenant space and the other to provide Zaxby’s with a fully functional test kitchen serviced by a commercial kitchen and dining area.

Tenant Space: The multi-floor office and conferencing buildout features a highly custom connecting stair with integrated seating for all-hands meetings. The stair acts as an anchor in the office with assembly spaces attaching to the core; including a coffee bar with lounge area, congregation space at the base, a flanking showcase feature wall displaying the company’s history and mission, and the main entry with the reception being enveloped by the stair stringers and cladding. The rest is comprised of a multi-purpose room with an operable partition, team + huddle rooms, open + private offices, support spaces, and a creative studio for development of national marketing campaigns.

Test Kitchen: The state-of-the-art test kitchen is paramount for new product development. The kitchen provides the client a functional mockup of franchise kitchen layouts and equipment, food analysis labs, cook lines, a simulated drive-thru, and point-of-sale stations. This allows Zaxby’s to unveil new food products and marketing collateral with the photo lab and adaptable conferencing space. The delivery of the test kitchen required extensive site surveys of the aging building and a complete overhaul of the base-building infrastructure systems.
